Geeky Boutiquey was started in part because I love to create. I make clothing, I make buttons, I draw, I paint, and I get crafty...oh and one more important thing...I'M A GEEK!

I am constantly making one of a kind pieces of art out of recycled items. I am a huge supporter of the repurpose movement. I've seen the rise of Goodwill and other 2nd hand stores and their popularity! People do look for deals, no longer available items and weird junk!

I've been a crafter since I was a teenager...shoot, probably even before then as it started in Girl Scouts. But more notably, my creative genius may have shined when I created a dress out of Star Wars bedsheets in high school. I still wear it today. Defeating my formidable superhero foes as my Roller Derby persona, NERD RAGE!

I create custom clothing items out of anything qwirky, geeky, nerdy and a multitude of other descriptives, but my favorite medium is repurposing tee shirts. Yes, we all know them. The throw away shirts that were just something you bought on a whim, but it didn't fit right or it didn't go with your wardrobe. I've vowed to change that!
