Out of state? Send us your ideas! Things that are on your mind, concerns etc... Please format them in .PDF or .DOC form and we will print and organize all the crazy amount of ideas that are out there. So...I guess there's a lot of geek girls out there who totally love the idea of a GeekGirlCon. I am almost scared of how many vaginas skipped a beat on Twitter within the last couple hours.
Stay tuned. I will be putting up a website soon. Along with info on how you can get involved. The idea is to celebrate the female geek whether you are male or female. Anyone can be involved, but this Con is to point out what we Geek Girls have achieved despite the missing appendage betwixt our legs. (Or maybe THAT'S why we have achieved so much?)
Hi all. I'm Wendy Lady aka Nerd Rage #42 of the Slaughter County Roller Vixens. I've seen my derby league from day one blossom into epic proportions and become a successful entity. Having been a rink rat helped, but also being a very enthusiastic person who pushes people and ideas forward helps a lot too. I think also the fact that I have a sweet ass, but that's last on the list.
Please email me at wendyladydesign@hotmail.com if you are in the Seattle area and/or can provide any volunteer assistance for this project! Sending resumes is acceptable and we will be posting info on a site TBA! The proposed location for this con is Seattle as it is a hub for geek girls. (FTW!)
Until then, Follow @GeekGirlCon and watch the Twitter #GeekGirlCon hashtag. Save it in your searches!
UPDATE! Currently Accepting Submissions for the GeekGirlCon logo! Send us sketches!
Sincerely,
Wendy Lady
